The GTS Showcase is the foundation event of the Game Time Select athlete journey.

It gives athletes in Grades 7–10 an opportunity to establish a meaningful starting point through standardized athletic testing, verified physical measurements, football development, competitive evaluation, and individual feedback.

The primary emphasis of the Showcase is objective athletic testing and measurement. Position coaching and competition are incorporated where the event format allows, but the Showcase is not designed to force a complete football evaluation from limited opportunities.

The purpose is not simply to collect numbers, rank athletes, or determine who performed best on one particular day.

The Showcase is designed to measure, teach, challenge, and provide direction.

Athletes complete standardized testing designed to provide objective information about their current athletic performance.

Testing may evaluate areas such as:

Speed & Acceleration

Agility & Change of Direction

Explosiveness

Power

Results provide a measurable starting point.

They are information about where an athlete is today — not a permanent definition of what that athlete can become.

Athletes receive standardized physical measurements that contribute to a more complete picture of their current stage of development.

Because athletes in Grades 7–10 are still growing, physical measurements are treated as developmental information, not fixed predictions about an athlete's future position or potential.

The Showcase includes opportunities for athletes to receive position-focused instruction and apply football skills in competitive settings.

These opportunities allow coaches to observe more than raw athletic ability, including:

Technique

Football understanding

Effort

Coachability

Communication

Competitive response

But because the Showcase is primarily a testing and measurement environment, football opportunities are intentionally more limited than they are at the Invitational.

Testing, measurements, football observations, and competitive evidence help create a more complete picture of the athlete.

The goal is for athletes to leave with greater understanding of:

What they demonstrated well.

Where continued development is needed.

What their next steps should be.

Every athlete should leave with useful information, greater awareness, direction, confidence, and motivation — regardless of whether an Invitational invitation follows.

Before meaningful development can happen, an athlete needs an honest understanding of their starting point.

The Showcase helps athletes:

Measure current abilities.

Identify strengths.

Recognize development priorities.

Experience purposeful coaching and competition.

Receive useful feedback.

Establish meaningful next steps.

No single time, measurement, drill, or repetition tells the complete story.

The Showcase creates a starting point from which athletes can continue to Discover. Develop. Compete. Achieve.

The Showcase is the primary evaluation environment for consideration for the GTS Invitational.

Selection is based on the athlete's complete body of work, not one measurement or one standout moment.

Consideration may include athletic performance, football ability, technique, football understanding, competitive performance, effort, coachability, character, preparation, and response to challenge. No single number or repetition determines the complete athlete.

Some athletes may earn an invitation. Every athlete should leave with direction.

An Invitational invitation is an opportunity — not the purpose of the Showcase itself.

And not receiving an invitation is not a permanent judgment of an athlete's potential.

Athletes develop at different rates. Future opportunities can be earned through continued growth.

An athlete should leave the Showcase with more than testing results.

They should leave with:

AWARENESS

A clearer understanding of their current abilities.

DIRECTION

Specific areas to continue developing.

CONFIDENCE

Experience testing themselves in a challenging environment.

MOTIVATION

A reason to continue preparing and improving.

OPPORTUNITY

The possibility of earning the next meaningful step.
